It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the holiday season in Katonah! And the Chamber is having some special events to celebrate the season.
Join us Saturday, November 30th, for Small Business Saturday, a day when, all across America, small communities like ours make a point of supporting the local businesses that anchor our town. Shop early, shop often, and shop local!
Also on Saturday the 30th, Santa will be in Katonah, greeting children of all ages. The festivities begin at 11am, behind the Chase Bank in town.
Then, on Sunday, December 1st, we host one of the Chamber’s biggest events of the year: the annual Christmas Tree & Menorah lighting. The will be singing, friends from the community, plenty of hot drinks and snacks, and warm, inclusive celebrations of Hanukkah, Christmas, and the holiday spirit for all.
Finally, please join us on Saturday, December 14th, for Caroling at the Gazebo. You don’t need to bring perfect pitch; just bring a joyful noise and some spirit!
This year, it’s Katonah for the Holidays!
Want to get to know your local officer on the beat? Come to “Coffee With A Cop” on Saturday, July 27th, from 10am-1pm at the Katonah Restaurant. Just an open house with coffee, nosh, and a chance to ask Sgt. Richard Hubert whatever is on your mind!

The Katonah Chamber of Commerce awarded its annual Donald M. Foulke Memorial scholarship to Sophia Cowley of Golden’s Bridge. The Award was presented to Sophia at the Chamber’s annual luncheon held at the Caramoor Center for the Arts on June 5th.
Sophia graduated from John Jay High School on June 19th. She plans to attend Union College in Schenectady in the fall.
The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a local graduating high school senior in recognition of outstanding service to the Katonah community.
Sophia was selected from among an especially strong group of applicants. Her many hours of volunteer work distinguished her – as co-president of the Student Katonah Village Improvement Society, as a volunteer for the Katonah Community Center, and her work at the Katonah Art Center.
The Chamber scholarship is named in memory of Donald M. “Misery” Foulke, secretary of the Chamber of commerce for many years, for his lifetime of service to the local community. Don was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in both WWII and Korea. Don worked for many years as manager of the Kelloggs & Lawrence hardware store and then as proprietor of Meserole’s locksmith, with a huge and memorable skeleton key atop his work van. He was a long time member of the Katonah Volunteer Fire department and especially remembered for his expertise & enthusiasm as one of the clowns in the annual fire parade.
