NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans
affected by mental illness.
NAMI Westchester was founded in 1980. It is located in
Elmsford and is one of 1200+ local affiliates spanning 50 states.
NAMI advocates for access to services, treatment, supports and research, and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all of those in need. All of NAMI’s services are free of charge.
“NAMI Westchester’s Mental Health Awareness Ribbon Campaign
will bring the subject of mental illness in our County to the forefront and
offer our organization as a community resource. By broadening our community’s
knowledge of mental illness, we replace stigma and judgment with recognition,
understanding and support. Katonah joins 26 other municipalities in Westchester
who are participating in NAMI’s Ribbon Campaign. “
