LIVE from Katonah

“Blown away” was the overwhelming response to the live concert at the Katonah Library this past Saturday. The show, which was organized and sponsored by a grassroots community organization called Katonah Live, featured five bands, each with ties to the Katonah area. Attendees were treated to an incredibly talented, creative and soulful line up of musicians. Each band had it’s own unique style, and the afternoon included a wide spectrum of musical genres from funk to hip hop to rock to folk and more. The concert had to be moved from its original venue of downtown Katonah due to the weather. However, this show absolutely went on. A big, spirited crowd thoroughly enjoyed the music throughout the afternoon and evening. A big thanks to Katonah Live and to the fabulous bands who performed — the Folkadelics, The Knox Sisters, Hot in the Pocket, Fifth Nation and The Drew Bordeaux Band — for an awesome show. We are already looking forward to the next one!
